Labour Day Weekend

So its Sunday. Just one day before school officially starts for most people ( I actually start a week later on the 13th). Everyone is getting ready. Stocking up on materials. Getting in the right frame of mind. Getting mentally and physically ready. It's like preparing for a war.

I am so psyched for my second year at university. My first year really didn't feel like school because it was so random compared to structured high school life. But now, I have the right idea about how university works and I'm ready to make the best of it. I am just so pumped.

Summer is ending and it feels even more dismal than usual because of the cold caused by Hurricane Earl. I'll miss frequent dinners and hanging out with family. I say family is the biggest part of my summers. Spending time with them, sleeping over, swimming, whatever.

On a side note, I finished Northanger Abbey yesterday. I liked it, especially the end with her overly imaginative mind. I was laughing the whole time. For some reason I was surprised because I didn't think Jane Austen characters were allowed to know what murder is (lol), let alone all the details. I think I'm going to read the Udolpho book now (yay, it's real!). However, I find that Jane Austen really hurries up the ending on a lot of her novels. I guess that's okay because once the novel has been concluded, everyone wants the details but no one wants chapters and chapters on them because nothing new happens.
